This article I stumbled across when I was looking for articles to post today. It talks about the extreme divisions of the GOP and their failure to do anything to resolve its divisions and problems. The Republicans need a new leader to bring this party back together.
Interesting article. I do feel I need to disagree with some of it though. I feel that in politics there will always be divisions and there will people saying the party could break at any point. The same thing could be said about democrats before the Obama was elected president. These divisions are also all the more recognizable during the time of elections. I do agree with a statement that you made in saying that the Republicans do need a new leader. This is very true, and it does not seem that anyone will step up to the plate and take the leadership role. It will take time but a Republican party leader will emerge in the years to come, and the cycle will continue of one party holding the power as another struggles.
